Library equipment checkout software: laptops and cameras out and back, no clipboard.
vFound Equipment is equipment checkout software for libraries: it puts a QR label on every item, records who has it and when it is due, and emails reminders, with an optional kiosk for self-checkout.
A library desk hands out laptops, chargers, calculators and cameras all day, often to students who want them for a few hours and forget when they are due.
The desk sees every item and whether it is on the shelf or out.
Valid card required. Cancel before day 14 to avoid the yearly charge.

Students reserve from their own page
A student can request any available item in one category from their private My vFound page, with no staff account. Staff can reserve a specific item from the Equipment desk. The form asks for a category, a start, an end and an optional note.
A student requests any available laptop in the Laptops category from their own page.

A reservation follows the same item limit and overdue rule as a checkout, and a category can require approval first. For self-checkout without a staffed desk, an optional paired kiosk lets a person check items out with an exact email or ID, a scan of each item label and their signature. The kiosk never lists people and runs in the browser on any tablet.
The end of term
Items drift away at the end of term when the record is a clipboard. Run a stocktake by scanning everything on the shelf to see what is missing, record serial numbers, values and warranties, and keep up to ten custom fields. Bring an existing list from Snipe-IT, Sortly or Cheqroom as a CSV file. A finished checkout is kept for 13 months after everything in it comes back, then deleted with its signature.
