Theme park lost and found software: the coaster kept the sunglasses, the family drove off.
Theme park lost and found software gives guest relations at a theme or amusement park one photographed catalogue of everything collected from rides, loose article bins, restaurants and paths, so a day visitor who has already driven home can find their phone or sunglasses online, prove they own it and arrange pickup or shipment.
With vFound, ride and guest relations staff snap a photo, and vFound AI writes the listing. Families use your park’s branded page in thirteen languages and search with a photo, or describe the loss in a short chat on their phone. AI suggests likely matches, and your team decides every return.

Found at the coaster queue
Every ride produces lost property: bags and hats forgotten in loose article bins at the station, phones and sunglasses that fall from a coaster and are recovered when the ride is cleared, items found under seats at close. Add pushchairs, soft toys, water bottles, car keys and park merchandise from restaurants, shows and paths.

Most visitors come for the day and leave at closing. By the time they notice, they are on the road, and guest relations is left with a list of short descriptions and a queue of calls. A spreadsheet can say “black phone, ride 3”, but it cannot show the owner their phone case.
How vFound works from ride platform to guest relations
“Perdí mi mochila azul en la cola de la montaña rusa.”
I lost my blue backpack in the roller coaster queue.- Brand matches your private record
- Sunscreen inside, as your team noted
A suggestion only. You decide.
Ride attendants, maintenance and guest relations staff log items in the browser on any phone or tablet: a title, category, where it was found, where it is stored, the found date and tags. A photo is enough to start, and vFound AI suggests the title, category and description. Your park gets its own branded page and printable QR signs.

- Log the ride, restaurant or area where the item was found, and the storage bin or shelf at guest relations.
- Visitors search by keyword, category and the date of their visit, any time, with no account and no app.
- Claims collect private identifying details, and visitors can attach proof photos, such as a picture of themselves wearing the sunglasses.
- Staff accept or decline, then mark the claim ready for pickup or ready for shipment, and the return is recorded.

- Lost report chat: a parent describes the loss in their own words and language, and vFound AI asks a few short questions and fills in the report for them to check and send.
- Guest photo search: a family can search with a photo of what they lost, or of a similar item, used for that search only and not stored.
- Likely matches: a lost report shows likely matches with a one-line reason, and a standing watch emails the family each time a likely match is logged over the next 90 days, such as after the ride is cleared.
- Photo auto-fill: one photo of a soft toy, a cap or a phone becomes a suggested title, category, colour and description for staff to check.
- Pickup booking: families pick a pickup time within your park’s hours and get an add-to-calendar link and a reminder.
- AI suggests. Your team decides: vFound AI never changes a claim or item status on its own, and a person at guest relations decides every return.
Separating the phones from the plush toys
Phones, wallets and car keys can be listed with the photo kept private, so the item is findable while the details stay with staff for verification. When photo auto-fill reads a photo that shows an ID, a bank card or a lit screen, vFound AI switches that photo to staff-only. vFound also includes bulk actions and the reporting dashboard for the end of a busy day, weekly AI insights on the rides and areas where things are lost most, and unlimited team members, so every ride team can log under its own login.

Your park sets its own holding period. Expiring items are surfaced before they lapse, so the end of a season is a reviewed clear-out on the record, and CSV export is included. A one-line widget adds the lost and found to your park’s own website, and Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat alerts tell guest relations when a lost report or pickup booking comes in.
What visitors experience
A family scans the QR sign at guest relations or the exit, or opens the link from home, and searches “sunglasses”. If the ride has not been cleared yet, they can report what they lost, see possible matches straight away, and get an email each time a likely match is logged over the next 90 days. Pages and emails appear in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Turkish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese or Arabic, updates arrive through a private link, and the page carries your park’s name, colours and cover photo. After the return, families can rate the experience from 0 to 10, and those who give a 9 or 10 can be invited to review your park on the site you choose.

The report form on your own page asks what was lost, a colour or brand, a category, where and when, and an optional Find My link for something with a tag. That link is never shown publicly. The guest then sees anything already found that could match, and is emailed if something turns up later. The team verifies ownership before any return.

Frequently asked questions
Can families search with a photo instead of typing?+
Yes. A parent can search with a photo of what they lost, or of a similar item, and vFound AI looks for it among your found items. The photo is used for that search only and is not stored. Families who would rather describe the loss can use the lost report chat, in their own words and language.
Does vFound AI decide which family gets an item back?+
No. vFound AI suggests and your team decides. It fills in listings, ranks likely matches and checks a claim’s answers against your private record, but it never changes a claim or item status on its own and never identifies people from images. A person at guest relations decides each claim and each return.
Visitors report a lost item before we have found it. What happens?+
They submit a lost report, see possible matches right away, and get an email each time a likely match is logged over the next 90 days. vFound AI ranks those matches with a one-line reason and keeps checking new items. Matching is a suggestion: the visitor confirms by recognizing the item, and staff can turn any report into a claim.
Can ride operators log items themselves?+
Yes. vFound includes unlimited team members, each with their own login, plus phone photo capture and vFound AI to fill in listings. Items logged at a ride appear in the same inventory guest relations works from.
How do we handle car keys when the family is still in the car park?+
The family checks your page on their phone, finds the listing and submits a claim with private details about the keys or the car. Your team verifies, marks the claim ready for pickup, and records the handover at guest relations. The guest’s signature at pickup is printed on the claim record.
What about seasonal parks that close for the winter?+
Set a holding period that fits your season. Expiring items are surfaced before they lapse, unclaimed items are cleared with a record of what happened to each one, and CSV export keeps a copy of the season’s log. Donations and disposals go out in numbered batches, each with a certificate.
Can a group with several parks use it?+
Yes. Each park runs as its own venue with its own branded page, inventory and subscription. A customer-owned group command centre shows aggregate workload, account health and policy differences and supports regional access. Visitors search the park they actually visited, and your team sees every park from one place. A self-serve account holds up to three venues; more than that is part of vFound Enterprise.
Can a guest add a tracking link for a lost item?+
Yes, as an optional Find My link on the report form. It is never shown publicly, and vFound does not track the item itself.
